After the success of last years Christmas videos, we couldn’t wait to get back into our Christmas suits and spread some more Christmas spirit.

For all you trombone lovers, you might be wondering what could possibly be better than a trombone quartet?!

Yes you thought right - a Trombone Dectet.

We’re very proud to introduce the ‘Bone-afide Dectet!’

Shortly after brainstorming this idea and gathering a list of players, we met up with Sam Every to talk about how to arrange for 10 trombones and percussion. What could possibly go wrong?!

On November 11th, Bone-afide met up with a selection of London’s finest trombonists and percussionists at Regent’s Hall to rehearse and record A Christmas Medley for Trombone Dectet.

The rehearsal kicked off with Sam Every introducing himself as the “person that wrote this monstrosity”. Yes - I can confirm, it is a monstrosity.

After an hour of rehearsal we paused for a short break and had some homemade sausage rolls and mince pies made by Izzi. She would like to point out that she made the pastry herself!!

After a coffee and a 2 minute silence we got on with the recording.

We then packed up and went for lunch and a couple of soft drinks.
